I've been doing a ton of large body sims for work using Phoenix for Max. Took some time to learn how to sim oceans in Phoenix for Maya.

Maya's MASH system for motion graphics came in handy while building / rigging the railroad tracks and the train to simple curve. MASH is incredibly fast, and the inner Houdini artist in me has been genuinely intrigued by this not-so-new toolset.

The MagicMask in Resolve is bananas. I got a really decent garbage matte out of it. I only caught wind of it after a bit of trial and error, but I will definitely be giving this a more intense inspection down the road.

This was shot on my Pixel and probably never intended for anything other than a fun memory, but when I showed it to my daughter she got really excited, so I made a personal project out of it ;)

Compositing and Finishing in Davinci Resolve Studio.

I started comping in Nuke, but ran into a snag with licenses with fxphd, so I switched to Resolve's Fusion page. The experience was wild, and I am considering sticking with Fusion for a beat, just for the heck of it.

I forgot how hard it is to mask fast-moving hair and while I need to put this project down so I can sleep again, I'm looking forward to leveling up down the road.
