Mr Bean Cartoon

When I first saw images of Mr. Bean’s Cartoon, I thought: Oh, its in flash. And I wrote it off as limited animation. I don’t know the outfit behind the series, but I was way off. They’re doing some nice animation—much better than I thought for a children’s show.

A little Diddie from StoryCorps

This is just a really touching story with fun animation. A student at AM posted it on someone’s workspace and I thought I would share it with everyone, as well. Its a sad one, but a good one. Synopsis below:

Danny Perasa and his wife, Annie, came to StoryCorps to recount their twenty-seven-year romance. As they remember their life together from their first date to Danny’s final days with terminal cancer, these remarkable Brooklynites personify the eloquence, grace, and poetry that can be found in the voices of everyday people when we take the time to listen.

The Goon Trailer from Tim Miller and Jeff Fowler!!

From Jeff Fowler and Tim Miller: The Goon

Based on the cult comic from Dark Horse Entertainment, created by Eric Powell in 1999, the comic follows the adventures of a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for a feared mobster. The stories have a paranormal and comedic edge to them and concern ghosts, zombies, mad scientists and “skunk apes.” ~ from Giga Trailers.

Last term at Animation Mentor (AM) my teacher Dave Vallone showed us a short from that great French School Gobelin. It was called Burning Safari. Welp, I found the making of from the main guy’s vimeo account. C’est si formidable, Florent de La Taille!
